    Responsibilities

    This will be a highly engaged Maintenance Manager who will use a Total Productive Maintenance approach to support plant productivity. The ideal candidate will lead by example and will be present and active on the packaging and processing floor. This person will have strong leadership skills and will create an engaged, performance-based environment.

     

    The ideal person will have experience using maintenance management systems to manage parts, preventive maintenance, understand equipment life cycle costs, plan work and ensure work completion, and manage the maintenance department with measures. He or she will be adept at using preventive and predictive maintenance methods to continuously improve equipment uptime. When necessary, this person will be hands on with troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and managing projects.  

     

    This person must be a team player who is highly collaborative and supportive of the broader plant team. 

     

    • Develops and implements a TPM model that continuously increases uptime.
    • Development, alignment & implementation of reliability excellence practices/programs, project planning and contractor/vendor management.
    • Development of training & support programs for people management and people development.
    • Establish protocols and guidelines for all maintenance activities in the plant.
    • Leads the maintenance team in a way that is positive and supportive yet holds team members accountable for their performance.
    • Leads review and analysis on maintenance/ability maintenance metrics and performance, performs gap analysis and develops improvement action plan.
    • Makes proposals for upgrading, replacement and modifications of defective devices and machines in line with plant operation features and regulatory standards.
    • Implements leading Reliability Excellence practices and drives improvements by monitoring KPIs.
    • Participates in plant capital project planning, cost estimation, payback justification.
    • Manages execution phase of all maintenance projects in the plant.
    • Responsible for or the people management and development in the Maintenance Department including recruiting, training, assigning, retention and engagement of capable personnel.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5-10 years in a processing and bottling manufacturing facility (ESL dairy preferred)
    • Technical knowledge of pasteurizers, homogenizers and fillers
    • 3-5 Years in a Maintenance Supervisory role
    • Must have knowledge and understanding of processing equipment and food manufacturing processes, Food Plant Security, GMPs, HACCP, and Safety procedures.
    • Must have the ability to learn, Organic Handling Procedures, Allergen Control Program, Glass and Hard Plastic, Quality related policies, and Safety programs.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2 Years in a Maintenance Management role
    • Expertise with electrical troubleshooting automated equipment
    • Ability to troubleshoot VFD’s/PLC’s and other common electrical issues
    • Knowledge and understanding on instrumentation (flow meters, pressure transmitters, level sensors, etc.)
