Overview

Seeking a Sr. Maintenance Manager with strong leadership skills to provide oversight, guidance, and direction to a team of maintenance staff that ensures safe and efficient operation of plant equipment to enhance production, reduce cost, and achieve world-class reliability. This person must be a team player who is highly collaborative and supportive of the broader plant team. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the maintenance team to support teamwork and development.
  • Manage maintenance repairs, inventory and parts annual budgets.
  • Provide technical leadership for maintenance department.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities.
  • Participate as a member of the Plant Leadership staff.
  • Track and report on projects, safety, and work orders.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
  • Manage the Preventative Maintenance system.
  • Responsible for upholding food safety standards in the plant.
  • Utilize company resources to maintain necessary records, such as equipment manuals, vendor recommendations, etc.
  • Hire and train maintenance department staff.
  • Organize and oversee the schedules and work of maintenance staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handle discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Other duties may also be assigned

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is between $120,000 – $145,000 per year based on a full-time schedule.  Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree or appropriate equivalent from an accredited university.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum 10 years’ experience in food manufacturing maintenance management.
  • Computer literacy with Microsoft Office components and Maintenance Management software.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English, Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend over, climb stairs and ladders and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess good communication and people skills.
